What's AI-generated
Every edition on Dispatch — the article you're reading, its headline, and its topic tags — is written by an AI agent, not a human editor. The agent is given a set of source articles (from newsletters and RSS feeds a Dispatch owner has added) and a topic taxonomy, and it independently selects, groups, and writes up what it judges to matter. Podcast episodes work the same way: the two-host script and the synthetic voice audio are both AI-generated, start to finish.
No part of an edition's text, headline, tags, or podcast script or audio is written or recorded by a person before publication.
What a human decides
A Dispatch's owner chooses which sources feed it, which topics it emphasizes, and when it publishes — and can revise or regenerate an edition after the fact. What they don't do is write or fact-check the text themselves before it goes out. Treat every edition as a first draft from an AI system, not a vetted human-written article.
Transparency requirements
This disclosure — and the badge on every AI-generated page — exists to meet the transparency obligations for AI-generated and synthetic content under Article 50 of the EU AI Act (Regulation (EU) 2024/1689), which requires that content generated or manipulated by an AI system be marked as such in a machine-readable and clearly identifiable way.
